Things to do nearby

We’re just a gentle walk from the picture-postcard village of Bishopstone. The route takes around 20 minutes on foot, following quiet paths across open fields, wildflower meadows and small chalk streams, with views that shift gently as you go.

At the heart of the village, you’ll find the much-loved The Royal Oak — an award-winning, organic pub run by Helen Browning. It’s a natural place to pause, whether for a long lunch or a relaxed evening meal, before wandering back as the light softens over the paddocks and meadows as you wonder back to Botswicky.
